Poppy, Poppy, Poppy….
Oh what to say about little Poppy. She is a Buff Orpington. Supposed to be big, friendly, cold hardy, and good egg layers. Should lay brown eggs.
Our sweet, Poppy, bless her heart. We were concerned she was dropped on her head or something, as she was always lost in the yard, not able to find the way into the coop, the last one in, the only one facing the wrong way on the roost, and had to watch for direction from the others.
Luckily all our chicks are friendly and help each other out (I purposely choose breeds that were friendly). Poppy needs her share of help. Although as she gets older she seems to be catching on better.
She is a little freaky. Will run into a wall to avoid you. But we just shake our heads and say, “Poppy?!” Really, we love our Poppy.
